Sunday Homily Highlight

The "Sunday Homily Highlight" is a feature from our You Tube channel that highlights one of the homilies from Sunday Mass each week. This section also contains a library of all the homily highlights that can be accessed at any time.

For the first Sunday of Lent, 2/26/2023, we feature Fr. Jeivi talking about being tempted by satan.

For the 7th Sunday of Ordinary Time 2/19/2023, the last Sunday before Lent begins, Fr. Jeivi speaks about being holy and praying for our enemies and wishing good things for them.

On the 6th Sunday of Ordinary Time 2/12/2023 Fr. Jeivi speaks in depth about the emotion anger.

This week, the 5th Sunday of Ordinary Time, 2/5/2023, Fr. Jeivi explains how we are called by Jesus to be the salt of the earth.

Here is Fr. Alex again, speaking on 1/22/2023, the 3rd Sunday of Ordinary Time. One key point is that Jesus calls us to do small things in our everyday lives.

This week's Christmas Homily HIghlight for 12/25/2022 features Fr. Jeivi speaking at the 8PM Christmas Eve.

For the 3rd Sunday of Advent, 12/11/2022, we feature a special guest- Fr. Vinny Fortunato who is running our parish mission this Monday-Wednesday at 7:00PM. He spoke about why we should go to church on Sundays.

This weekend we had Fr. Jones speak on the last day of the liturgical year, the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ King of the Universe. 11/20/2022

Fr. Ken Jones was our guest homilst this Sunday, the 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time 11/13/2022. Fr. Ken was the pastory of St. Mary's in Plainfield when Fr. Jeivi was a young man there and decided to become a priest. We are honored to have Fr. Ken as a guest.

On the 32nd Sunday of Ordinary Time 11/6/2022, we have a special guest for the Sunday Homily Highlight. Bishop Elias Lorenzo installed Fr. Jeivi as pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes at the 11:30AM Mass. For the Twenty third Sunday in Ordinary Time, 9/4/2022, we highlight Fr. Paul speaking on the difficulties of being called to discipleship.

For the Sixteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time, Fr. Steven, the missionary spoke at all the Masses so we decided to feature Fr. Jeivi's short homily from the July 16, 2022 Saturday morning 8AM Mass.

This Sunday, June 26, 2022, we fearture Fr. Bill Benedetto's last Sunday homily at Our Lady of Lourdes on the Thirteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time. We wish Fr. Bill the best as he begins his new assignment at Madonna Church in Fort Lee beginning next weekend. We will miss Fr. Bill and we thank him for his 7 years as Parochial Vicar at our parish.

On the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ, June 19, 2022, we feature Fr. Jeivi.

This week, The Solemnity of the Holy Trinity, we highlight Fr. Bill McDonald on his very last homily at Our Lady of Lourdes after serving as weekend assistant for 8 years. Fr. Bill will be sorely missed, but we wish him well on his next assignment in California! May God Bless you, Fr. Bill!
